Valoris HealthPark Garland represents the rebirth of a major Medical Center located and designed to serve the needs of the residents of Garland, Texas and its surrounding communities. After the departure of Baylor Scott & White and the hospital’s closing in 2018, the aging campus lost its identity as a healthcare services destination while inpatient and outpatient services grew and flourished in neighboring cities.
Garland, a City of a quarter-million people, has no General Acute Care beds – no Community Hospital – and no hospital-based Emergency Services.
A New Community Hospital is coming to Garland, TX.
Prevarian has transformed Valoris HealthPark into a destination Medical Center through extensive building renovations, site and right-of-way improvements, and demolishing unserviceable structures to make way for new development.
In partnership with the City of Garland, Prevarian is acting quickly to fulfill a promise to bring comprehensive healthcare services back to Garland.
A key component of that promise is the establishment of a new Community Hospital – one that Garland can call its own. And together with the City of Garland, we are making that happen.

In 2019, the Veterans Administration took over the existing hospital and has embarked on an ambitious multi-year plan involving renovation of the existing buildings and implementation of a broad range of programming serving Veterans. Ultimately, the VA expects to see up to 800 patient visits per day.
The Garland VA Medical Center has been a welcome addition to Valoris HealthPark that has renewed interest in the campus as a destination while addressing the need for healthcare services for our Veterans.
